Waves - Brighton beach

I remembered quite awhile ago, I felt deeply touched by this poem "footprints". I guess most of us are pretty familiar with this trendy poem sending around; but to me, whenever things get a little lonely and rough at times, I truly see myself walking with the Lord at the beach, talking to Him and really needing things to slow down, and freeze at that moment. And at that time, to be in a living relationship with Him again.

I remembered how my beloved sister in Christ use to share with me about the revelation she got while she saw the waves coming towards the shores. When it comes you still can escape and not get hit by it. But when you're hit by it, it's rather hard to stand up again before another wave strikes again, because it's likely that you're being drawn back by the strong waves. It's like how sin is like, before you can stand up again, it hits you once more, and you find it hard to stand up, because it constantly draws us away from God. In Romans 6 it says that sin is emnity against God.

Yet, we tend to dwell in the sinful nature of the flesh. Unknowingly separating us from this living relationship with the Holy God. The bible also tells us that, "without holiness no man shall see the Lord" or enter into the Holy place.

I pray that through this time, I can hold on steadfastly in faith to the Lord through every situation. Believing and hoping in His grace upon my life to go through everyday, Remembering the goodness of our Lord and Saviour. Not conforming to the ways of the flesh but being renewed in mind as a new creation in Christ.

Amen.

Footprint

One night I had a dream -
I dreamed I was walking along the Beach with Lord
And across the sky flshed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two set of footprints in the sand
One belonged to me and the other to the Lord
When the last scene in my life flashed before me.
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and
I questioned the Lord about it
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome time in my life
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you most, you should leave me"

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never
leave you during the times of trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

wonderful isn't it? to be love by the Lord and to entrust your life to Him. But remember that we are called into this living relationship with Him, to love Him with all our heart, our strength, our mind and soul. And this is the greatest commandment for us. For if we get caught in the waves, only the Lord can save us before we drown in it, through His blood that He shed for the cleansing of our hearts.

Blessed week.

For semester 2, I'll be studying, Genes and Environment; Physics for Biomedicine; Experimental Design and Data Analysis; Creative Design using Digital Technologies.

The first impression I had of Experimental Design and Data Analysis was that it's pretty ok. But after one lecture, I ZONED OUT and BLANKED OUT through the whole thing =/
I personally couldn't get what the lecturer was trying to convey, or what am I suppose to gain out of the lecture, where he reads almost 100% similar to our course notes.

Praise God I've settled in to the new semester. I'm really looking forward to sister Ailing's arrival!

Here's a link that I personally think is very useful for all those who study abroad or cook by themselves.
Student On A Budget
It's a step-by-step online recipes where you'll find that not only is it cheap, it's really convenient and delicious.

Blessed day!

The start of a new semester

Coming back to Melbourne is not something I looked forward to, but by God's grace I made it through. Winter break has ended and it has already been one day since uni started, and I'm truly grateful for everyone that God has blessed me with.

Most of all, I thank Him for His Spirit that liveth in me, and I pray that I'll continue to run this race and never grow weary.

I was reading this extract by Max Lucado, and It really spoke to me about running this race, let our vision and purpose be clear even before we run, lest we should be like blind mouse running about directionless. And the Lord says, I am the way. Trust in the Lord, to lead you this way, in total obedience to Him, surrendering to His way and His direction.

Hope Restored Along the Way

by Max Lucado

What would it take to restore your hope?
What would you need to reenergize your journey?

Though the answers are abundant, three come quickly to mind.

The first would be a person. Not just any person. You don’t need someone equally confused. You need someone who knows the way out.

And from him you need some vision. You need someone to lift your spirits. You need someone to look you in the face and say, “This isn’t the end. Don’t give up. There is a better place than this. And I’ll lead you there.”

And, perhaps most important, you need direction. If you have only a person but no renewed vision, all you have is company. If he has a vision but no direction, you have a dreamer for company. But if you have a person with direction—who can take you from this place to the right place—ah, then you have one who can restore your hope.

Or, to use David’s words, “He restores my soul.” Our Shepherd majors in restoring hope to the soul. Whether you are a lamb lost on a craggy ledge or a city slicker alone in a deep jungle, everything changes when your rescuer appears.

Your loneliness diminishes, because you have fellowship.

Your despair decreases, because you have vision.

Your confusion begins to lift, because you have direction.

Last night I chatted with a beloved brother in Christ, even through that conversation I was reminded to hold on steadfastly to this vision that we have, because if we turn weary, we might even forsake this calling.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which both so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."
Hebrews 12:1-3
