Before you read any further, Please take note that this would probably be my last post as till Sijil Pelajaran Menengah (SPM) Examination is over...

------------------------------------------------------------------

As all our major examinations are approaching, many of us tend to do the "LAST-MINUTE-STUDY" method. Many a times we even get so stressed up because of this. Being worried and sometimes helpless, we tend to become a little moody... PEOPLE normally tell us "Don't worry kid! It's okay".... NOW, the question is should we worry or should we not worry???

Well, the answer lies neither in the two options... It's okay to worry, but it's not okay when you don't do anything about it and stay as helpless as a kitten up the tree.

Here's an interesting article i happened to stumble over...

[It seems the age-old advice to simply forget all your troubles before going to bed could be missing the mark. An Australian study has found that attempting to banish unwanted thoughts, such as money or relationship problems, actually leads to more dreams and nightmares. Psychologists from the University of New South Wales asked 100 students to identify an unwanted thought that regularly intrudes into their minds. Half of the group were instructed to suppress it five minutes prior to sleeping. Analysis of their dream diaried on waking showed that this group reported more dreams featuring the nominated thought than those who did not suppress it. So next time, perhaps it's time to embrace those worries, not fight them]

For me, I do have worries, in fact, I have loads of them. BUT, I do learn how to commit these worries to GOD, our creator and our provider.

Food is a necessity for every living organism, we love food, we love eating. But how many of us love preparing them? As you turn around asking people "Do you cook?" OWH yes they do, they'll reply you "Yes, i do, my specialty? MAGGIE MEE and FRIED EGG"

So, being a good eater, we should learn the skills of cooking.

I tried cooking spaghetti, using my own style and I would personally comment that, It is not that bad at all. I call it the kat-ified Spaghetti.

See, It doesn't look that bad either. HAHA!!! I didn't do the normal tomato kind of spaghetti (everyone can do that, it's easy) I fried it, with some Japanese thing.
The potato wedges which mom bought at the price of RM5 for 1kg. It consist of about 40-50 pieces. and The well-know Kentucky Fried Chicken Fast Food Restaurant (KFC) charge us at RM6 ++ for a six piece serving... WHAT A RIP OFF!!

So what have I been up to? I was pretty much caught up with trials for SPM examination, It was the first time I saw everyone really pulling up their socks into studying. I've gotten back a few of my test papers with results that are both good and bad. Nevertheless, I praise God for them.

Earlier on this week, a few of the Ex-prefects for the 2006/2007 term were given a chance to visit the retarded children's school. Most of us were excited but we did not really expect to gain such an experience which really opened our eyes. Of course, it was a great opportunity to skip class, but behind all these, there's really a great lesson to learn. The school was located near the Ong tiang Swee Primary School.

Upon our arrival, we were divided into 4 groups. I was with Tzin Yee's group (mini swimming pool) It was such a fun thing to play with the kids. But what really shook me was how well mannered these kids were. When I was talking to this one kid, I asked him a few things. Soon after, he pointed towards a mini net, I reached for it and held it to him. As he reached out to grab the net words came out from his mouth "Thank you".

To me what makes a better person is how well-mannered one is. A highly educated person may not even recognise the words "Thank you". But this kid, he did. From this incident, I learned to be thankful at all times. How blessed are we, to be able to coordinate our body normally, how blessed are we to be able to learn properly, how blessed are we to be able to express ourselves in colourful words and how blessed are we that we can sing and praise GOD!

It is undeniably true that, His grace is sufficient for us,

God touched me with another song the day before this visit. And really, without him, who are we? This song is still untitled as I really don't know what title should I use. Praise GOD for it.

"Your grace is sufficient for me
For your power is made perfect in weakness.

For when I'm weak then I am strong

Apart from Thee I have no other Rock.

For you are my strength.

My anchor, firm and strong"

EmoSam's BIRTHDAY!!!

Here's to a good friend of mine, Samuel... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Before we became prefects or before he became the Executive Committee directly in-charge of Bureau Traffic, I never quite liked him. But, he turned out to be one of the nicest Executive Committee (EXCO).

Apart from that, he is undoubtedly a very responsible leader. We (Samuel, Andeline, Jenny, Tzin Yee, Kelvin, Min Zhi, Anders, Colin and I) normally hang out together. So here's to a bright future, Ah Seng, haha.
